Many people like to open Beyond 20/20 Tables files (*.ivt) by double clicking them in Windows Explorer. Windows enables this functionality using File associations. Sometimes the file associations can be corrupted and the file won't properly open when you double click on it.

To fix the file associations so that the Professional Browser will open a Beyond 20/20 Table File when you double click on it:

1. Right click on an IVT file and select Properties
You will see something like this:

2. Click Change:
You will see something like this:

3. Click More apps. It will now show this:

4. Scroll to the bottom, you will something like this:

5. Click Look for another app on this PC. An Open with dialog will appear:

6. Browse to the location of the properly installed brwpro.exe

The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Beyond 2020\Professional Browser

This location should have brwpro.exe, bchart.dll, bres.ini, etc in it but the dialog will not show this unless you change the file types to All Files.

7. Select brwpro.exe and click Open.

8. Click OK in the Properties box

Note: If these steps do not work you may not have permission to change the file associations. This can be the result of group policies in Windows. Try contacting your IT department for help.
